Let Yourself Delighted by Punta Cana

Punta Cana is one of the most exotic destinations on planet Earth. The key of a great warm vacation is right here and Punta Cana has it all. Located in the East of Dominican Republic, Punta Cana has sandy white beaches, tropical weather, unspoiled blue and crystal clear waters, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You can never get bored here since there is so much to do and see.

It’s very easy to get to Punta Cana by plane. The city has a very well connected international airport which ensures direct flights with some of the biggest airway companies. The tourism here is very well developed, this exotic destination being visited by almost 6 million people in 2014.

If you decide to travel to Punta Cana this year, here are some tips so you can enjoy this exquisite location to the fullest.

Discover the Dominican Culture
The Dominicans have an interesting culture with many influences, being one of the first European settlements in the New World after it was discovered by Columbus in the 1400s. Since then the culture developed very much and became what it is today, very dynamic and diverse in events, places to see and foods to eat.

The tastiest things to try from the Dominican cuisine is the chicharrón, an appetizer made mostly from pork, batata which is a dish made with sweet potatoes and other food is pastelitos, a kind of stuffed pastry. As for drinks, I would totally recommend Mama Juana and the beach made Sangria.

The Dominicans are very friendly and warm people. They like to talk to the tourists and even teach them to dance on the moving rhythms of their merengue music style. Salsa is very popular too, as well as bachata. You would often see locals dancing on these music styles. Speaking about music, a big part of this culture are the festivals and carnivals. They are vibrant with colour, music and diversity and take place throughout the entire year. Whenever you would land in Punta Cana make sure to attend one of the festivals. It’s a great memory to have.

Unleash your Inner Adventurer
Punta Cana has so many adventures to offer, I assure you that you can never get enough of it. First of all, you can explore the surroundings, visit the most popular tourist attractions. Then, if this is not enough, you can try something that will give you an adrenalin rush. For example, try the zipline Canopi tour. It’s an adventure across 2500 feet long cable and it’s totally safe.

Another adventure is to get to explore the The Rancho Capote’s Fun Fun Cave. Or get ready to speed up on the ocean with the speed boats. Also, you can go on Day Tours to several places around. Isla Saona is one of the most popular and fun places to visit when in Punta Cana.
Experienced guides are there all the time for you to ensure safety and useful information.

When you are there make sure to enjoy the views too. They are outstanding!
